- There are 3 positions available for Substitute Teachers. All substitute teachers must have a High School Diploma and have earned their Early Childhood Credentials. Preference given to candidates that have earned Associate degree in early childhood education or related field or have 30+ credits earned toward degree completion.
- Job involves instruction, supervision and training of students or groups of students with a wide variety of needs in a regular and/or special education setting. Job activities include instruction of students in a variety of education environments including classrooms and learning centers.
- A substitute teacher will be hired with the understanding that his/her association with Reedy Fork Early Learning Academy will be on a substitute basis, as needed, because of the absence of a permanent or probationary employee. Substitute teachers are paid at an hourly or daily rate, determined by the level of education received. They are not eligible for insurance benefits, holiday pay, and do not accrue vacation or sick leave during the period they are employed as substitutes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Substitute teachers are responsible for implementing curriculum, lesson planning, and classroom management. Substitute Teachers will implement Reedy Fork ELA school standards and teaching principals. Each substitute teacher will hold an instructional classroom teaching position in his or her designated specialty area. (i.e. infant & toddler, preschool, or school age).
